Case Study: NAWIC Utah – Strategic Sponsorship and Storytelling for Women in Construction

I have been a long-time collaborator with the Salt Lake Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), contributing as both a volunteer and marketing consultant to support their mission of advancing the careers of women in construction. My role over the years has focused on building a sponsorship strategy, developing impactful promotional materials, and producing compelling video content that highlights the stories of women in the industry.
My contributions helped NAWIC Utah achieve significant growth, including a 30% increase in membership in a single year, while also more than doubling sponsorships. Sponsorship Strategy & Brochure Development: Recognizing the need for NAWIC Utah to strengthen its sponsorship efforts, I developed a sponsorship pricing strategy that made it easier for companies to support the organization. I also designed a sponsorship brochure that clearly outlined the value of partnering with NAWIC, emphasizing both the visibility sponsors would gain and the role they would play in supporting women in the construction industry. This brochure became a central tool for outreach and helped significantly increase the number of corporate sponsors backing NAWIC Utah’s events and initiatives.
Video Production to Highlight Member Stories: A core part of my work with NAWIC has been capturing the stories of its members to inspire others to join. I directed a series of video interviews with women in various construction roles, showcasing their passion for the industry and the impact NAWIC has had on their careers.
